Privacy
Last updated 2026-10-17.
Short version: there are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no ads on this site today. The car details you type are worked out in your browser and are never sent to us.
Who runs this site
EV Deal Check is run from the United States. For any privacy question or request, email hello@evdealcheck.com.
What stays in your browser
- The car, price, mileage and battery health you type into the tools are used only in your browser. They are not sent to us or anyone else.
- Your market choice (US or UK) is saved in your browser's local storage, under the name
evdc-market, so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device. You can clear it in your browser settings at any time. - The tools download one file of car data from this site. That request does not include anything you typed. Like any page request, it reaches our web host (see below).
What our web host may keep
Like almost every website, our web host may keep standard server logs, for example your IP address, browser type, the page asked for and the time, to run the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use these logs to identify you, and we do not sell them.
What we do not do
- We do not use cookies, analytics or tracking pixels.
- We do not sell or share personal information.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If you email us, we keep your message and address only to reply and to fix any error you report. Ask us to delete it at any time.
Before we add ads or analytics
We plan to show ads (for example Google AdSense) later. Ad services use cookies. Before any ads or analytics go live, we will update this page, and we will ask for your consent where the law requires it (for example in the UK).
Your rights
- UK visitors: under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
- US visitors: some state laws (for example in California) give you the right to know, delete and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
- To make any request, email hello@evdealcheck.com.
Changes
We update this page when what the site does changes, and we change the date at the top.
